Here I Go!
World Book 1a & 1b
1.  Here is my Mammal picture.
Alpacas
Their habitat is the mountains of Peru.
2.  The picture is not nearly as cool.  Here it is
Alpaca
There is additional information on the habitat.  It also has more information about the size of the animal.
3.  In the advanced I think that it would be helpful to know where to find maps, primary sources, books on the country(e-books).  The tables were helpful to get quick facts about the country I chose.
4.  It gives you options for reading the article in other languages
World Book 1c
1.  I think that it could be used to find the names of common animals in another language and make a chart to compare how similar or different the animals names are in other countries.
2.  Quite frankly I am not sure how to use it.  I think it would be great to work with ESL students.  They could listen to the article in Spanish and listen to the same article in English.  It may be helpful for students learning Spanish also.

  1. Hi, "Learning," welcome to the World of World Book. I hope you will take some time to look at special features in World Book, especially in Kids: World of Animals, Games, Activities, Maps & More. Some public librarians use these to get project ideas for children's programming. In Online Reference Center: e-book center, "how to," and Computer and Web Tutorials for your adult patrons.
