Proquest:
1. I decided to do a search on heating and cooling a home. I was especially interested in cove heating and on what is called mini-splits for cooling. I found only one article on cove heating. I tried to expand the search by using the term radiant heating and I got a lot of articles but none about cove heating. I tried the same with mini-splits. There were more articles and articles with more statistical information which I appreciated.
1a. I looked at one of the searches done by another blogger. Again it seemed that person looked up information that was relevant to them. I saw that because of the topic they chose that they did have to narrow the topic or the amount of information was overwhelming.
2. I looked up the topic Library in the publication section. Over 20 publications showed up. I then chose the American Library publication. I narrowed it further by choosing the 2010-2012 editions. I did an additional search for e-books because that seems to be a hot topic in libraries. There were 20 articles concerning this. I will take time this week to read more article but for now I read two of them.I found them to be more of opinion articles. I will continue to look for statistics concerning ebooks and the future of e-books in libraries.
